COMING SOON — ECOMMERCE
Headless WooCommerce.
Built the same way as everything else.
We're building ecommerce into RockitWP the same way we built everything else: WooCommerce as the commerce engine, rendered through the same headless Next.js frontend, the same visual editor, the same design tokens. It's next up on the roadmap and actively in development.
Why headless WooCommerce
WooCommerce already handles the hard parts of commerce well: products, orders, inventory, payments. What it doesn't do is load fast on the front end, because it's rendering through the same PHP theme layer as classic WordPress. We're keeping WooCommerce as the engine and replacing the part that's actually slow.
A proven commerce backend, not a rebuild
Products, inventory, orders and payments run on WooCommerce, a mature system millions of stores already run on. We're not reinventing commerce logic from scratch.
The slow part gets replaced, not patched
The storefront (product pages, collections, cart, checkout) renders through the same Next.js frontend as the rest of your RockitWP site, instead of a PHP theme.
One visual editor, one design system
Product and collection pages are meant to be built from the same block system and design tokens as every other page, not a separate WooCommerce theme bolted on top.
DIRECTIONAL — STILL IN DEVELOPMENT
What to expect
◈
Product and collection page patterns built from the same library as every other section.
◈
Cart and checkout rendered through the fast, headless frontend, not the standard WooCommerce PHP flow.
◈
The same managed hosting and edge caching your marketing pages already get.
◈
Content and commerce living in one system, no separate store platform to stitch in.
